Funding Government by the Minute

The federal government currently spends over 400 million dollars an hour, or more than 10 billion dollars a day. Do you think this is sustainable?

Ron Paul on the issues:
Just got a phone call from the soon to be exwife. Trying to ruin my birthday…..so now I’m getting drunk I’m an effort to save the day!! Jack D. Come save me..lol. shot 1 is done, bring on number two!

Roseanne Barr is kind of crazy, but kudos to here for going out to Occupy Wall Street and laying waste to “that goddamn Ayn Rand book”.

Waitwait…We’ve ALREADY combined Capitalism (at least facets of it) and Socialism…So what in the fuck is she spouting off for? The system as it is is exactly what she is advocating in her little speech. And the fact she mentions the ‘Ayn Rand book’…of course she and most of these idiots have no idea of Objectivism.

*facepalms* This is why celebrities should stop being vocal about their politicial positions. They just come as morons…though Roseanne was already a moron to begin with.

freemarketliberal:

The Occupy Together movement has spread nationally—and internationally.  From the Middle East, to the United States, including nations in between, people are getting fed up with the current state of national and international politics, especially the policies which benefit the few at the expense of the many.  Boise, ID has gotten on board.

In peaceful solidarity with the Occupy Together movement, Occupy Boise will be holding a public assembly on Wednesday October 5.  People will gather at the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial at 2:30 pm and participants will walk to Capitol Park at 4:30 pm.

The Occupy Boise Facebook group has gained over 1,700 members since its inception, a mere six days ago.  In a city with a population of around 300,000, a group having been created and within less than a week of its creation to have so many members really reveals how people feel about the current political and economic turmoil.

The basic tenets of OccupyBOI and the larger Occupy Together movement are an objection to the overwhelming influence of big business in national and global politics, their ability to purchase public policy and the unjust concentration of wealth in the United States and abroad

Love the rational of the neo-cons.

The Constitution really does mean jack to these idiots.  They claim to be “Constitution Scholars” but yet they think this is legal.  Guess they have never read the 5th Amendment.

Just wait until we are deemed terrorists because we speak out against Obama, the US corporatist government, and the inflationary policies of the Federal Reserve just to name a few things.  Are they going to say we are a threat to “national security” too?  And have us murdered?

Sounds far fetched, maybe?  But if it is legal to murder US citizens over seas with out a trial then why would it be so far fetched that it would happen over here?

laliberty:

Government power ultimately will be influenced and controlled by those whom the occupiers despise. So, protesters, rail against Wall Street. But rail, too, against its indispensable partner – government, with its unique legal power to wield aggressive force – and realize that the genuine antipode of the system you oppose is the freed market.

An old Italian gentleman lived alone in New  Jersey .  He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard.  His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,  I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.  Love,  Papa
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Papa,   Don’t dig up that garden. That’ s where the bodies are buried.  Love,  Vinnie
At 4 a.m. The next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.  That same day the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Papa,  Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now.  That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.  Love you, Vinnie

Scientists have found the biggest and oldest reservoir of water ever—so large and so old, it’s almost impossible to describe.
The water is out in space, a place we used to think of as desolate and desert dry, but it’s turning out to be pretty lush.
Researchers found a lake of water so large that it could provide each person on Earth an entire planet’s worth of water—20,000 times over. Yes, so much water out there in space that it could supply each one of us all the water on Earth—Niagara Falls, the Pacific Ocean, the polar ice caps, the puddle in the bottom of the canoe you forgot to flip over—20,000 times over.
The water is in a cloud around a huge black hole that is in the process of sucking in matter and spraying out energy (such an active black hole is called a quasar), and the waves of energy the black hole releases make water by literally knocking hydrogen and oxygen atoms together.
The official NASA news release describes the amount of water as “140 trillion times all the water in the world’s oceans,” which isn’t particularly helpful, except if you think about it like this.
That one cloud of newly discovered space water vapor could supply 140 trillion planets that are just as wet as Earth is.
Mind you, our own galaxy, the Milky Way, has about 400 billion stars, so if every one of those stars has 10 planets, each as wet as Earth, that’s only 4 trillion planets worth of water.
The new cloud of water is enough to supply 28 galaxies with water.

Woahhhhh. I don’t even know what this means for anything but it’s amazing.
